Competitions

Students are offered the opportunity to compete at eisteddfods in both troupes and as solo performers. We include all our students who are willing to make the committment to our troupes.

Our troupes participate in one main eisteddfod per year at the Mordialloc Eisteddford in July and August. Our school has won the teachers aggregate trophy many times at the Mordialloc Eisteddfod showing a great commitment from our teachers and students to achieve the best they can.

Our students are encouraged to compete in other eisteddfods throughout the year in solos and duos and bring back lots of prizes.trophy

We hold an interschool competition early every year for choreography and all students are encouraged to create their own work.It is a fantastic day and some terrific work is shown. Many of the students then take their own choreography to the Victorian Choreographic competition held annually and are very successful winning many prizes.

Competing requires commitment and hard work but has many rewards. These come in the form of increased confidence and self esteem and improved performance ability. We have a lot of fun at the same time as bonding as a group and proving to ourselves that we can really achieve.
